At the Unity Forestry meet this fall, there was a event called fire-build. In this event, two people build a fire as fast as they can to get a pot of water boiled. You start with a block of wood, knife, and hatchet, and have to build a fire to boil. Here is a friend of mine, Chris Farmer, blowing on the fire just as the pot boils.
