Josh > The same sunrise expedition, but looking east instead of south-west. This picture also was captured with an Olympus OM-1 and then digitized.
Josh > The foggy days on the mountain created their own beauty. On the second mile of the Gorge Brook trail, a spectacular sight unveiled itself to the south of the trail.

Josh > Another picture of clouds on an in-and-out day. Well, far more in than out, but on one of the rare moments out of the clouds, a fascinating scene unfolded itself to the north.
Josh > The Gorge Brook trail at sunset towards the end of the summer. This trail in particular takes on a completely different character going downhill versus going up hill.
Josh > An eerie day on the summit. The mountain has many moods - happy, sad, jealous, etc. Sometimes it is just creepy. Hard to capture such a feeling, however.
Josh > Spending over 50 days on the mountain this summer, I learned to appreciate atypical beauty - such as that of the summit signs themselves.
Josh > Another day in and out of the clouds. I enjoy days like this just as much as the clearest of days. This was one of the best of the in-and-out type days.
Josh > Every fourth of July, a hoard of Dartmouth students converge on the summit to watch the fireworks in the surrounding cities. Just as amazing as the fireworks themselves, though, is the people on the top.
